This Quotation Estimate has been prepared by Meridian Scientific Consultancy Ltd. in response to the formal request for professional services submitted by NorthWest Applied Sciences Group. The purpose of this document is to provide a comprehensive, itemised cost breakdown for the engagement of a qualified Physicist to deliver a twelve-month research and analytical programme at the client's designated facility in United Kingdom Manchester. All pricing, terms, and conditions set out in this Quotation Estimate are binding upon acceptance and are subject to the validity period stated above.

The Physicist proposed for this engagement holds a PhD in Condensed Matter Physics from the University of Manchester, possesses over fourteen years of post-doctoral and industrial research experience, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics (FInstP). The candidate is fully vetted, holds a valid UK right-to-work permit, and is insured under our professional indemnity policy for the duration of the assignment in United Kingdom Manchester.

The Physicist will be responsible for the following deliverables over the twelve-month contract period:

Design and execution of experimental protocols in the fields of quantum materials and photonic device characterisation.
Supervision of a team of four post-doctoral researchers and two laboratory technicians based in Manchester.
Preparation of monthly progress reports and a final comprehensive technical report for the client's board of directors.
Attendance at a minimum of two peer-reviewed conferences per annum, with associated travel within the United Kingdom.
Collaboration with the University of Manchester's Department of Physics and Astronomy for shared facility access.
Mentorship of up to three PhD students enrolled in the University of Manchester's physics programme.

Payment for the services outlined in this Quotation Estimate shall be made in monthly instalments, invoiced in arrears on the last working day of each calendar month. The first invoice will be issued upon the commencement date of the Physicist's engagement. All payments are due within thirty (30) calendar days of the invoice date via BACS transfer to the account details provided on each invoice. Late payments will attract interest at a rate of 4% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue. After the expiry date, all rates and availability of the proposed Physicist are subject to reconfirmation.
All work will be conducted in compliance with UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations, the University of Manchester's laboratory safety protocols, and applicable data protection legislation (UK GDPR).
Intellectual property generated during the course of the engagement shall be jointly owned by Meridian Scientific Consultancy Ltd. and NorthWest Applied Sciences Group, as detailed in the separate Intellectual Property Agreement to be executed prior to commencement.
The Physicist is engaged as a contractor and not as an employee of the client. All statutory employer obligations remain with Meridian Scientific Consultancy Ltd.
Either party may terminate the engagement with ninety (90) days' written notice. In the event of termination, the client shall be liable for all services rendered up to the effective date of termination.
This Quotation Estimate is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of United Kingdom Manchester and the wider United Kingdom.
Meridian Scientific Consultancy Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses arising from the performance or non-performance of the services described herein.

By signing below, the client confirms acceptance of this Quotation Estimate in its entirety, including all terms, conditions, and the itemised cost breakdown for the engagement of the Physicist in United Kingdom Manchester. Upon countersignature by both parties, this document shall constitute a binding agreement for the services described.
