1. Purpose of This Quotation Estimate

This Quotation Estimate is formally issued by Academic Talent Solutions Ltd. to provide a comprehensive and itemized financial breakdown for the engagement of a Professor of Applied Economics and Development Studies. The proposed Professor will be deployed to the North Bengal Institute of Advanced Studies, located in the Mirpur district of Bangladesh Dhaka, for a period of twelve (12) months commencing from 1 September 2025. This document serves as the official Quotation Estimate for all parties involved in the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing academic supervision of the Professor within the institutional framework of Bangladesh Dhaka.

2. Scope of Services – Professor Engagement

The Professor engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall perform the following duties and responsibilities at the designated campus in Bangladesh Dhaka:

  • Delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Applied Economics, Development Policy, and Quantitative Methods (minimum 18 contact hours per week).
  • Supervision of a minimum of eight (8) Master's thesis students and four (4) PhD candidates throughout the academic year.
  • Contribution to curriculum development, syllabus revision, and academic committee meetings as per the institutional calendar of Bangladesh Dhaka higher education regulations.
  • Publication of at least two (2) peer-reviewed research articles in internationally indexed journals during the engagement period.
  • Participation in community outreach programs, policy briefs, and public lectures organized by the institute in coordination with local authorities in Dhaka.
  • Mentoring of junior faculty members and postdoctoral researchers within the department.

4. Payment Terms & Schedule

Payment for the services outlined in this Quotation Estimate shall be made in the following installments, all processed through the institutional bank account of the client in Bangladesh Dhaka:

  • Advance (30%): BDT 1,363,889 – payable within 7 working days of contract signing, prior to the Professor's onboarding in August 2025.
  • Mid-term (40%): BDT 1,818,518 – payable by 1 January 2026, subject to satisfactory interim academic review.
  • Final (30%): BDT 1,363,889 – payable by 30 August 2026, upon completion of the full engagement period and submission of the final academic report.
5. Terms & Conditions
  1. This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates, particularly the Professor's honorarium and accommodation costs in Bangladesh Dhaka, are subject to revision based on prevailing market conditions and inflation indices published by the Bangladesh Bank.
  2. The Professor engaged under this arrangement shall be bound by the academic code of conduct, research ethics guidelines, and anti-plagiarism policies of the North Bengal Institute of Advanced Studies, Dhaka, as well as the broader regulations of the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh.
  3. Any change in scope, extension of the engagement period beyond twelve months, or modification of the Professor's duties shall require a written amendment to this Quotation Estimate, signed by both parties.
  4. All financial transactions shall be conducted in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) through recognized banking institutions operating in Bangladesh Dhaka. No cash payments exceeding BDT 50,000 in a single transaction are permitted under this agreement.
  5. The Professor shall maintain a minimum attendance of 90% at the designated campus in Dhaka. Absences exceeding five (5) consecutive working days without prior written approval from the Dean of Academics shall be considered a material breach of this Quotation Estimate.
  6. Intellectual property generated by the Professor during the engagement period, including research papers, lecture notes, and curriculum materials, shall be jointly owned by the Professor and the institution, with the institution retaining the right of first publication for internal academic use.
  7. Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved through amicable negotiation. In the event of failure to reach a resolution within thirty (30) days, the matter shall be referred to the appropriate civil court having jurisdiction in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
  8. This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until countersigned by both parties and the advance payment has been confirmed in the institutional account.
6. Acceptance & Authorization

By signing below, both parties acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to all terms, conditions, and financial figures set forth in this Quotation Estimate for the engagement of the Professor at the specified institution in Bangladesh Dhaka.
