Dear Dr. Tadesse,

Thank you for your request for a formal Quotation Estimate regarding the engagement of a senior Professor to deliver a comprehensive academic programme in the field of Development Economics and Public Policy. This Quotation Estimate has been prepared in accordance with the academic standards and regulatory frameworks governing higher education institutions in Ethiopia Addis Ababa. The following details outline the scope of work, associated costs, and terms governing the proposed engagement.

1. SCOPE OF SERVICES – PROFESSOR ENGAGEMENT

The Professor shall be engaged on a full-time basis for a period of twelve (12) months, commencing 1 September 2025, to undertake the following duties at the designated institution in Ethiopia Addis Ababa:

• Delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Development Economics, Public Finance, and Economic Policy Analysis (minimum 18 contact hours per week).
• Supervision of a minimum of eight (8) Master's theses and four (4) Doctoral dissertations.
• Conduct of two (2) research seminars per semester for the Faculty of Economics and Business.
• Participation in curriculum review committees and accreditation processes mandated by the Ethiopian Higher Education Reforms.
• Publication of at least two (2) peer-reviewed journal articles in internationally indexed journals during the engagement period.
• Mentorship and professional development of junior faculty members within the department.

3. TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates and conditions are subject to revision in line with prevailing economic conditions in Ethiopia Addis Ababa.
2. Payment shall be made in Ethiopian Birr (ETB) via bank transfer to the designated institutional account. Monthly salary disbursements shall be processed by the 25th of each month.
3. The Professor shall comply with all academic regulations, codes of conduct, and research ethics guidelines established by the University of Addis Ababa and the Ethiopian Ministry of Education.
4. Any additional services beyond the scope outlined in Section 1 shall be subject to a supplementary Quotation Estimate issued separately and approved in writing by both parties.
5. The engagement may be terminated by either party with a written notice of sixty (60) days, in accordance with the Ethiopian Labour Proclamation and the institution's staff regulations.
6. All intellectual property produced by the Professor during the course of this engagement shall be jointly owned by the Professor and the institution, as stipulated in the Ethiopian Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Proclamation No. 410/2004.
7. This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until formally accepted in writing by the authorized representative of the Ministry of Education, Ethiopia Addis Ababa.
8. All disputes arising from this engagement shall be resolved through the institutional grievance mechanism and, if necessary, through the competent courts of Ethiopia Addis Ababa.

4. ACCEPTANCE AND AUTHORIZATION

By signing below, the undersigned parties acknowledge and accept the terms, conditions, and financial obligations set forth in this Quotation Estimate for the engagement of the Professor in Ethiopia Addis Ababa.
