3.1 This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates and conditions are subject to revision without prior notice.
3.2 The Professor engagement is governed by the French Code du Travail and the specific regulations of the Fonction Publique Universitaire. All statutory employer contributions (URSSAF, retraite, prévoyance) are included in the monthly remuneration stated in item 01.
3.3 Payment terms: 50% of the total estimated cost shall be due upon contract signature; the remaining 50% shall be disbursed in equal monthly instalments over the twelve-month contract period, payable within thirty (30) days of each monthly invoice.
3.4 The Professor shall be based at the Université Aix-Marseille campus in Marseille, France, and is expected to maintain a minimum presence of four (4) days per week on site. Remote work arrangements may be negotiated for up to one (1) day per week subject to departmental approval.
3.5 This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract. A formal employment contract (contrat de travail) or fixed-term appointment (CDD) shall be executed in accordance with French academic hiring procedures prior to the commencement of services.
3.6 Any additional services, extended teaching loads, or research projects beyond the scope defined herein shall be subject to a supplementary Quotation Estimate issued by the Academic & Professional Services Division.
3.7 The relocation allowance (item 05) is a one-time payment and is non-recoverable. In the event of early termination by the Professor for reasons other than mutual agreement, 50% of the relocation allowance shall be repayable to the institution.
3.8 All intellectual property generated by the Professor during the course of this engagement, while employed at the Marseille institution, shall be governed by the French Code de la Propriété Intellectuelle and the specific IP policy of Université Aix-Marseille.
3.9 Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the subsequent contract shall be resolved by the competent labour courts (Conseil de Prud'hommes) in Marseille, France, in accordance with applicable French law.
