This Quotation Estimate is formally issued to provide a comprehensive financial breakdown for the recruitment, engagement, and annual retention of a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Nigeria Lagos campus of Lagos State University. The Professor shall be responsible for supervising postgraduate research, delivering advanced undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, leading the departmental research initiative, and representing the institution at national and international academic conferences. The Professor engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall perform the following duties within the Nigeria Lagos academic environment:
- Delivery of a minimum of 120 contact hours per academic year across undergraduate (400-level) and postgraduate (M.Sc. and Ph.D.) programmes in Nigeria Lagos.
- Supervision of no fewer than six (6) Ph.D. candidates and ten (10) M.Sc. students per annum, with regular progress reviews conducted on the Nigeria Lagos campus.
- Leadership of the Departmental Research and Innovation Unit, including the management of a research grant budget of not less than NGN 15,000,000 annually.
- Representation of the university at the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) Lagos Chapter meetings, the West African Universities Association (WAUA) conferences, and the annual Nigeria Lagos Academic Leadership Forum.
- Publication of a minimum of four (4) peer-reviewed journal articles per year in internationally indexed journals, with at least one (1) chapter in an edited volume.
- Mentorship of junior academic staff, including two (2) Senior Lecturers and three (3) Lecturers, as part of the Nigeria Lagos faculty development programme.

- This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Any engagement of the Professor beyond this period shall require a revised Quotation Estimate reflecting current Nigeria Lagos market rates and FUC salary adjustments.
- All monetary figures in this Quotation Estimate are denominated in Nigerian Naira (NGN) and are subject to the prevailing Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) exchange rates for any foreign-currency-denominated expenses incurred in Nigeria Lagos.
- The Professor shall be bound by a standard academic employment contract of five (5) years, renewable upon mutual agreement, in compliance with the Nigeria Lagos State Public Service Commission regulations.
- Payment of the one-time office setup and relocation costs (Items 8 and 9) shall be processed within fourteen (14) working days of the Professor's official commencement date in Nigeria Lagos.
- Recurring annual payments (Items 1 through 7 and 10) shall be disbursed in twelve (12) equal monthly instalments, with the first payment due on the first working day of the month following the Professor's onboarding in Nigeria Lagos.
- This Quotation Estimate does not include Value Added Tax (VAT) or any applicable withholding tax, which shall be borne by the institution in accordance with Nigeria Lagos State Inland Revenue Service (LIRS) directives.
- Any change in scope, additional research grants, or supplementary duties beyond those outlined in Section 2 shall necessitate a supplementary Quotation Estimate issued by the Academic Procurement Unit.
- The Professor is expected to maintain a minimum of 90% attendance on the Nigeria Lagos campus during the academic term, with remote work permissible only during approved sabbatical or conference periods.
By signing below, the authorized representative of the institution confirms acceptance of this Quotation Estimate and authorizes the engagement of the Professor as described herein for the Nigeria Lagos campus. The Professor shall be formally inducted in accordance with the university's onboarding protocol for senior academic staff in Nigeria Lagos.
