This Quotation Estimate is issued in response to the formal request submitted by the Universidad de los Andes, Caracas, Venezuela, for the professional engagement of a Professor of Applied Mathematics and Computational Sciences. The Professor will be responsible for delivering advanced coursework, supervising doctoral research, and leading interdisciplinary research projects within the academic framework of the institution located in Venezuela Caracas. 3.1 This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all pricing and terms are subject to revision based on prevailing economic conditions in Venezuela Caracas, including currency exchange rate fluctuations and inflation adjustments as determined by the Central Bank of Venezuela.
3.2 The Professor engagement is contingent upon the successful completion of a formal interview process, verification of academic credentials, and approval by the Universidad de los Andes Academic Senate. The Professor must hold a minimum of a Ph.D. in a relevant field and possess at least five (5) years of post-doctoral teaching or research experience.
3.3 Payment terms: 30% of the total amount shall be due upon execution of the employment contract; the remaining 70% shall be disbursed in ten (10) equal monthly installments, aligned with the Venezuelan academic calendar. All payments shall be processed in US Dollars (USD) through the designated institutional bank account in Caracas, subject to the foreign exchange regulations of the Banco Central de Venezuela.
3.4 The Professor shall be entitled to a minimum of four (4) weeks of paid academic leave per year, in addition to public holidays recognized in the state of Miranda and the federal district of Venezuela Caracas.
3.5 Intellectual property generated by the Professor during the course of this engagement shall be jointly owned by the Professor and the Universidad de los Andes, as stipulated in the institutional research policy.
3.6 This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract. A formal employment agreement, compliant with Venezuelan labor law (Ley Orgánica del Trabajo, los Trabajadores y las Trabajadoras — LOTTT), must be executed prior to the commencement of services.
3.7 In the event of early termination by either party, a notice period of sixty (60) days in writing is required. The Professor shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the effective date of termination.
4. ACCEPTANCE AND AUTHORIZATIONBy signing below, the authorized representative of the Universidad de los Andes, Caracas, Venezuela, acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and confirms acceptance of the proposed terms for the engagement of the Professor as described herein.
