1. Purpose of This Quotation EstimateThis Quotation Estimate has been prepared by Northgate Digital Solutions Ltd to provide a comprehensive and transparent financial proposal for the engagement of a dedicated Software Engineer to support the client's technology operations within United Kingdom Manchester. This document outlines the scope of services, deliverables, associated costs, and commercial terms governing the proposed engagement. 2. Scope of Services — Software Engineer EngagementThe proposed Software Engineer will be a senior-level professional with a minimum of eight (8) years of hands-on experience in full-stack software development, cloud architecture, and enterprise application design. The Software Engineer will be based in our Manchester office located in Salford Quays, United Kingdom, and will operate under the following scope of responsibilities:
- Design, development, testing, and deployment of custom software applications aligned with the client's business objectives.
- Architecture and implementation of scalable microservices infrastructure on AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
- Code review, technical mentoring, and knowledge transfer to the client's in-house development team based in Manchester.
- Integration of third-party APIs, payment gateways, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Ongoing maintenance, performance optimisation, and security patching of existing software assets.
- Agile sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and bi-weekly progress reporting to the client's project stakeholders.
- Compliance with UK data protection regulations (UK GDPR) and Information Security standards (ISO 27001).

All payments referenced in this Quotation Estimate are due within thirty (30) days of the invoice date. Invoices will be issued on a monthly basis for recurring services and upon milestone completion for fixed-fee items. Payment shall be made by BACS transfer to the bank account details provided on each invoice. A late payment surcharge of 1.5% per month (or part thereof) will apply to any outstanding balances, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 applicable in the United Kingdom. The client is required to settle a 25% advance payment upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate to secure the Software Engineer's availability and commence onboarding in Manchester.
5. Terms and Conditions5.1 This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until formally accepted in writing by both parties. Acceptance may be provided via signed copy of this document or through the client's procurement portal.
5.2 The Software Engineer engaged under this quotation will operate as a contractor of Northgate Digital Solutions Ltd and will not be deemed an employee or agent of the client. All work will be performed in accordance with the terms of the Master Services Agreement (MSA) previously executed between the parties.
5.3 All intellectual property created specifically for the client during the engagement period will be assigned to the client upon full payment. Pre-existing tools, frameworks, and methodologies remain the property of Northgate Digital Solutions Ltd.
5.4 This Quotation Estimate is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from this engagement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Manchester, United Kingdom.
5.5 The client agrees to provide a suitable working environment, access to necessary systems, and timely feedback to ensure the Software Engineer can deliver within the agreed timelines. Delays attributable to the client will result in a day-for-day extension of the project schedule.
5.6 Northgate Digital Solutions Ltd reserves the right to substitute the assigned Software Engineer with a professional of equivalent or higher qualification, subject to prior written notice to the client. Such substitution will not affect the pricing outlined in this Quotation Estimate.
5.7 All data processed by the Software Engineer in the course of this engagement will be handled in strict compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) will be executed prior to commencement of work.
6. Assumptions and ExclusionsThis Quotation Estimate assumes that the client will provide all necessary business requirements, access credentials, and third-party licences prior to the start date. Costs associated with third-party software licences, cloud hosting fees beyond the initial setup, and any scope changes exceeding 10% of the original project value are excluded and will be subject to a separate Quotation Estimate and change-order process. Travel expenses for the Software Engineer within the Manchester metropolitan area are included; travel outside this region will be billed at actual cost.
7. Acceptance of Quotation EstimateBy signing below, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to all terms, conditions, and pricing set out in this Quotation Estimate for Software Engineer services to be delivered in United Kingdom Manchester.
