The Statistician engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall hold a minimum of a Master's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a closely related quantitative discipline, with a minimum of eight (8) years of post-graduate professional experience in applied statistical consulting within the healthcare or biomedical research sector. The Statistician must be proficient in R, SAS, and Stata, and must demonstrate prior experience with regulatory submissions compliant with Health Canada and the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) guidelines. All deliverables produced by the Statistician will be submitted in both English and French to ensure full compliance with the Official Languages Act as applicable in Canada Montreal.
4.1 Validity: This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates and fees are subject to revision based on prevailing market conditions in Canada Montreal.
4.2 Payment Schedule: Payment shall be made in quarterly installments of 25% each, due within thirty (30) days of invoice issuance. A 1.5% monthly late-payment interest rate shall apply to outstanding balances, in accordance with the Quebec Civil Code.
4.3 Scope Changes: Any modification to the scope of work beyond the parameters outlined in this Quotation Estimate must be approved in writing by both parties. Additional hours or services will be billed at the rates specified herein or as mutually agreed upon in a supplementary amendment.
4.4 Confidentiality: The Statistician and Quantum Analytics & Statistical Consulting Inc. agree to maintain strict confidentiality of all data, methodologies, and findings in accordance with the Quebec Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector (Law 25) and applicable federal privacy legislation.
4.5 Intellectual Property: All statistical models, code, reports, and analytical outputs produced under this engagement shall remain the exclusive property of the client, Concordia Biomedical Research Institute, upon full payment of all fees.
4.6 Governing Law: This Quotation Estimate and any resulting contract shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Canada Montreal.
4.7 Cancellation: Either party may terminate the engagement with sixty (60) days written notice. In the event of early termination, the client shall be liable for all fees accrued up to the date of termination plus a 10% administrative wind-down fee.
