1. Purpose of This Quotation EstimateThis Quotation Estimate is formally issued by Kampala Surgical & Medical Services Ltd. to provide a comprehensive and itemized financial breakdown for the engagement of a qualified Surgeon to deliver specialized surgical and clinical services at the Kampala Regional Referral Hospital. This document serves as a binding financial proposal for the procurement of surgical expertise within the Uganda Kampala metropolitan health sector. All figures presented herein are denominated in Ugandan Shillings (UGX) and reflect current market rates as of the date of issue.
2. Scope of Surgeon ServicesThe Surgeon engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall provide the following professional services within the Uganda Kampala healthcare framework:
- General surgical procedures including appendectomy, hernia repair, cholecystectomy, and bowel resection.
- Emergency surgical interventions for trauma cases, road traffic accident victims, and acute abdominal emergencies.
- Pre-operative patient assessment, surgical planning, and post-operative wound management.
- Supervision and mentorship of junior surgical residents and medical students at the teaching facility.
- Participation in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings and complex case conferences.
- Availability for on-call emergency surgical coverage on a rotational basis (minimum 12 hours per week).
- Completion of all required surgical documentation, operative notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with the Uganda Medical and Dental Council regulations.

- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates are subject to revision based on prevailing market conditions in Uganda Kampala.
- Payment shall be made in monthly installments within fourteen (14) days of the end of each service month, via bank transfer to the account specified by Kampala Surgical & Medical Services Ltd.
- The Surgeon engaged must hold a valid license issued by the Uganda Medical and Dental Council (UMDC) and a current Certificate of Good Standing. Verification of credentials shall be conducted prior to commencement of services.
- Either party may terminate the engagement with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of early termination, a pro-rata adjustment shall be applied to the remaining balance of this Quotation Estimate.
- All surgical procedures performed by the Surgeon shall comply with the Uganda National Health Policy, the Hospital By-Laws, and the ethical guidelines of the Uganda Medical and Dental Council.
- Confidentiality of all patient records and institutional data is strictly enforced under the Uganda Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019.
- Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved through mediation in Uganda Kampala before escalation to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Uganda.
The Surgeon proposed for engagement under this Quotation Estimate shall meet the following minimum qualifications: a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree from a recognized institution; a minimum of eight (8) years of post-qualification surgical experience; a Fellowship of the East African College of Surgeons (FEACS) or equivalent; and a valid, unrestricted practice license from the Uganda Medical and Dental Council. The Surgeon must also demonstrate proficiency in both open and minimally invasive surgical techniques relevant to the Uganda Kampala patient demographic.
6. Acceptance and AuthorizationBy signing below, the parties acknowledge and accept the terms, conditions, and financial obligations outlined in this Quotation Estimate for the provision of Surgeon services in Uganda Kampala.
