This Quotation Estimate is issued by Van der Merwe Bespoke Tailoring, a registered and fully insured Tailor operating in the heart of South Africa Cape Town, in response to the written request received on 9 June 2025 from Mr. Thabo Nkosi. The purpose of this document is to provide a comprehensive and itemised cost breakdown for the bespoke garment construction, alteration, and finishing services requested. All pricing in this Quotation Estimate is quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and reflects the current market rates for premium Tailor services in the South Africa Cape Town metropolitan area as of June 2025.
The scope of work encompasses the full bespoke construction of three (3) formal suits, one (1) evening tuxedo, and associated alterations to existing garments, all to be completed at our Tailor workshop located in the Gardens district of South Africa Cape Town. Each garment will be hand-finished to the highest standard expected of a master Tailor in the region.

- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. After this period, the Tailor reserves the right to revise pricing due to fluctuations in fabric costs, exchange rates, or labour availability in South Africa Cape Town.
- A non-refundable deposit of fifty percent (50%) of the grand total, amounting to R 31,268.50, is required to commence work. The balance of fifty percent (50%) is due upon final fitting approval and prior to collection of garments.
- All bespoke garments are constructed to the client's exact measurements. The Tailor accepts no liability for garments that do not fit due to significant changes in the client's body measurements after the initial fitting session.
- Turnaround times stated in this Quotation Estimate are estimates based on current workshop capacity. Delays caused by force majeure, public holidays in the Western Cape province, or client unavailability for scheduled fittings will extend the timeline accordingly.
- All work is performed at the Tailor's premises in the Gardens, South Africa Cape Town. The client is responsible for transportation of garments to and from the workshop, unless a courier arrangement is separately agreed upon in writing.
- Fabric selection: The client may source fabric independently or select from the Tailor's in-house collection. If the client supplies fabric, the Tailor shall not be held responsible for defects, shrinkage, or colour inconsistency in the supplied material.
- One (1) complimentary minor alteration (up to R 400.00 in value) is included within twelve (12) months of garment collection. Subsequent alterations will be quoted separately at the prevailing Tailor rate card.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until both parties have signed and dated the acceptance section below and the deposit has been received in full.
- Any disputes arising from this engagement shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa and shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Magistrate's Court in Cape Town.
By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the terms and conditions outlined above. The Tailor confirms that all services described will be rendered to the professional standard expected of a registered Tailor in South Africa Cape Town.
