This Quotation Estimate is issued in response to the formal request for proposal received from Faculdade de Ciências Aplicadas de São Paulo regarding the engagement of a qualified University Lecturer to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate instruction in the Department of Applied Sciences. This document outlines the full scope of services, the itemized cost structure, and the contractual terms governing the professional engagement of the University Lecturer within the academic institutions of Brazil, São Paulo. All figures presented herein are expressed in Brazilian Reais (BRL) and are subject to the tax regulations currently in force in the state of São Paulo and the federal Republic of Brazil.
The University Lecturer shall provide the following academic and professional services throughout the engagement period:
- Delivery of a minimum of 240 contact hours of face-to-face instruction across two undergraduate courses (Applied Mathematics and Data Science Fundamentals) and one postgraduate seminar (Advanced Statistical Modelling).
- Development and continuous updating of course syllabi, lecture materials, laboratory manuals, and assessment instruments aligned with the National Council of Education (CNE) guidelines and the specific curricular standards of the institution.
- Supervision of a maximum of six (6) undergraduate thesis projects and two (2) postgraduate dissertation candidates, including weekly advisory sessions and formal evaluation.
- Participation in at least four (4) departmental academic committees per semester, including curriculum review boards and examination panels.
- Availability for student office hours, totaling no fewer than 40 hours per academic semester, to be scheduled in coordination with the departmental coordinator.
- Contribution to the institution's research output through a minimum of one (1) peer-reviewed publication or conference presentation per academic year, with the institution listed as a co-affiliated body.
- Assistance in the preparation of accreditation documentation and quality-assurance reports as required by the Ministry of Education of Brazil (MEC) and the state education authority of São Paulo.

Payment for the services rendered by the University Lecturer shall be made on a monthly basis, in arrears, via bank transfer (TED or DOC) to the CNPJ account specified in Section 1. Invoices (Notas Fiscais de Serviço) shall be issued in accordance with the electronic invoicing system (NF-e) mandated by the São Paulo municipal tax authority (Secretaria da Fazenda do Estado de São Paulo). Payment is due within fifteen (15) business days of the invoice date. Late payments shall accrue interest at the rate of 1% per month plus a 2% penalty, in compliance with Brazilian commercial law (Código Civil, Art. 412).
5.1 This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Upon expiry, all rates and conditions must be renegotiated in writing.
5.2 The engagement of the University Lecturer is governed by a formal Service Contract (Contrato de Prestação de Serviços) to be executed prior to the commencement of the academic year. The contract shall be subject to the civil and labour legislation of the Federative Republic of Brazil.
5.3 The University Lecturer shall maintain professional liability insurance (Seguro de Responsabilidade Civil Profissional) with a minimum coverage of R$ 500,000.00 throughout the engagement period.
5.4 Either party may terminate the engagement with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of termination for convenience, the University Lecturer shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the effective date of termination.
5.5 All intellectual property created specifically for the institution under this engagement shall be jointly owned, with the University Lecturer retaining the right to use such materials in future academic and research activities, provided the institution is duly acknowledged.
5.6 This engagement is subject to the data-protection provisions of the General Data Protection Law of Brazil (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados – LGPD, Law No. 13.709/2018). Both parties commit to the lawful processing of any personal data exchanged in the course of the academic relationship.
5.7 Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the subsequent contract shall be resolved by the competent courts of the city of São Paulo, state of São Paulo, Brazil, or by arbitration under the rules of the Câmara de Arbitragem do Centro de Arbitragem e Mediação da Câmara de Comércio Brasil-Canadá, at the election of the aggrieved party.
