The University Lecturer position described herein is a full-time, one-year renewable appointment within the Faculty of International Business & Economics. The lecturer is expected to deliver a minimum of 24 contact hours per week across two undergraduate courses and one graduate seminar, supervise a cohort of no more than eight postgraduate thesis students, and contribute to at least two peer-reviewed publications per academic year. All teaching and research activities will be conducted on the Haidian campus in China Beijing, with the possibility of short-term sabbatical exchanges with partner institutions in Shanghai or Guangzhou as approved by the Dean’s Office.

• This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days from the date of issue. Any engagement beyond this period will require a revised quotation reflecting current market rates in China Beijing.
• All monetary figures are stated in Chinese Yuan Renminbi (CNY) unless otherwise indicated. Currency conversion rates are indicative and subject to the PBOC mid-market rate on the date of payment.
• The University Lecturer must hold a valid doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) from an accredited institution and possess a minimum of five years of post-doctoral teaching or research experience in a relevant discipline.
• Payment terms: 30% advance upon contract signing, 50% disbursed monthly as salary and allowances, and 20% retained and released upon satisfactory completion of the academic year and submission of the final performance review.
• The client institution in China Beijing is responsible for providing a dedicated office space, access to the university library and databases, and a standard academic workstation (desktop computer, printer, and high-speed internet).
• Either party may terminate the engagement with sixty (60) days’ written notice. In the event of early termination by the client, the agency fee (Item 9) remains non-refundable.
• All personal data processed in connection with this Quotation Estimate and subsequent employment contract shall be handled in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China (PIPL, effective 1 November 2021).
• Disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved through arbitration at the Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC) in accordance with its then-current rules. The governing law is the law of the People’s Republic of China.

By signing below, both parties acknowledge that this Quotation Estimate accurately reflects the agreed-upon terms for the engagement of the University Lecturer and that all costs, obligations, and conditions pertaining to the academic appointment in China Beijing have been fully disclosed and mutually accepted.
