This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days from the date of issue. The total amount specified herein is inclusive of all applicable taxes as mandated by the Ethiopian Revenue and Customs Authority, including the 15% Value Added Tax (VAT) where applicable to consultancy services rendered in Ethiopia Addis Ababa. Payment terms are structured as follows: 30% upon contract execution, 40% upon successful onboarding of the University Lecturer, and the remaining 30% upon completion of the first semester of academic duties.
The University Lecturer engagement is subject to a minimum one-year contract, renewable upon mutual agreement and satisfactory performance evaluation. The candidate must hold a minimum of a Doctoral degree (PhD) in the relevant discipline, possess a minimum of three (3) years of post-doctoral teaching or research experience, and demonstrate proficiency in both English and Amharic to effectively serve the student body at Addis Ababa University.
Note: This Quotation Estimate assumes that the University Lecturer will be engaged on a full-time basis (40 hours per week) during the standard Ethiopian academic calendar (September through June). Any extension of the contract, additional teaching load beyond the standard 12 credit hours per semester, or special research project assignments will be subject to a supplementary Quotation Estimate issued separately. All costs related to international airfare for the initial relocation of the University Lecturer to Ethiopia Addis Ababa are excluded from this estimate and will be borne by the hiring institution.
ARCS Ethiopia reserves the right to revise the pricing in this Quotation Estimate should there be material changes in the Ethiopian Birr exchange rate exceeding 10% from the reference rate stated above, or in the event of regulatory changes by the Ethiopian Ministry of Education affecting academic staffing requirements. Any such revision will be communicated in writing to the requesting institution no fewer than fourteen (14) days prior to the commencement of services.
