  1. This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all figures subject to revision based on prevailing Japan Kyoto labor market conditions and institutional budget allocations.
  2. The University Lecturer engagement is initially for a fixed term of three (3) academic years, with the option of renewal to a permanent appointment subject to satisfactory performance evaluation conducted at the end of the second year.
  3. All compensation outlined in this quotation estimate is subject to applicable Japanese national and Kyoto prefectural tax withholdings, social insurance deductions, and institutional payroll regulations.
  4. The housing subsidy (Item 05) is contingent upon the University Lecturer residing within a 30-kilometer radius of the Kyoto campus and is subject to annual review based on the Japan Kyoto residential cost index.
  5. The relocation grant (Item 06) is payable within thirty (30) days of the University Lecturer’s confirmed arrival in Japan Kyoto and is non-refundable unless the engagement is terminated within the first six months due to institutional cause.
  6. Any additional teaching load beyond the standard 24 contact hours per week shall be compensated at the rate specified in Item 03 and must be pre-approved in writing by the Head of Department.
  7. This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding employment contract. A formal employment agreement, compliant with Japanese labor law and the Japan Kyoto municipal employment regulations, shall be executed prior to the commencement of duties.
  8. All intellectual property generated by the University Lecturer during the course of employment shall be governed by the institution’s standard IP policy, with fair attribution and co-ownership provisions as stipulated in the final contract.
  9. Disputes arising from the interpretation or execution of this quotation estimate shall be resolved through internal institutional mediation, with final arbitration conducted under the jurisdiction of the Kyoto District Court, Japan.

Compensation for the University Lecturer shall be disbursed on a monthly basis via direct bank transfer to a Japanese financial institution account, with payments processed on the last business day of each calendar month. The annual performance bonus (Item 04) shall be paid in a lump sum during the month of March, coinciding with the conclusion of the Japan Kyoto academic year. The professional development budget (Item 09) shall be released in two installments: 60% at the start of the academic year and 40% upon submission of the annual activity report.

By signing below, the authorized representative of the Kyoto International University Consortium acknowledges and accepts the terms, conditions, and financial figures set forth in this Quotation Estimate for the engagement of a University Lecturer in Japan Kyoto. This acceptance does not obligate the institution to extend a formal offer of employment until all standard recruitment and vetting procedures have been satisfactorily completed.
