3.1 Validity: This Quotation Estimate remains valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Should the University of Auckland require an extension, a written request must be submitted prior to the expiry date, and a revised Quotation Estimate may be issued reflecting any market adjustments.
3.2 Payment Schedule: Invoices will be issued on a quarterly basis in arrears. The recruitment and selection fees (Items 2.1 and 2.2) are payable within fourteen (14) days of successful candidate selection. The University Lecturer salary and associated allowances (Items 2.3 through 2.5) will be processed through the University of Auckland payroll system in accordance with standard New Zealand Auckland academic employment practices.
3.3 Cancellation: Should the University of Auckland elect to withdraw the University Lecturer engagement prior to the commencement date, a cancellation fee of 25% of the total Quotation Estimate value shall apply. Cancellations after the commencement date are subject to the standard New Zealand employment termination provisions under the Employment Relations Act 2000.
3.4 Compliance: All services rendered under this Quotation Estimate shall comply with New Zealand employment law, the University of Auckland Staff Rules, and all applicable Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) regional regulations. The appointed University Lecturer must hold a valid New Zealand work visa or residency status prior to commencing duties.
3.5 Confidentiality: All information contained within this Quotation Estimate, including candidate details and salary structures, is treated as confidential and shall not be disclosed to third parties without written consent from both parties.
3.6 Governing Law: This Quotation Estimate and any resulting engagement are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes shall be resolved through the New Zealand courts of competent jurisdiction in Auckland.
This Quotation Estimate assumes that the University Lecturer will be engaged on a full-time, fixed-term contract of one (1) academic year with the option to extend. It does not include costs associated with long-term research grant funding, capital equipment procurement, or post-doctoral fellow positions that may be attached to the University Lecturer's research programme. Any additional teaching load beyond the standard 12 contact hours per week will be invoiced separately at the prevailing University of Auckland overtime rate. The New Zealand Auckland location is assumed to be the primary place of work; any requirement for the University Lecturer to travel to other New Zealand campuses or international sites will be quoted separately upon request.
