Scope of Work – Welder Services in New Zealand Wellington

This Quotation Estimate is issued by Wellington Precision Welding Ltd. to Harbourview Construction Group Ltd. for the provision of a qualified Welder and associated welding services for the structural steel fabrication and on-site assembly project located in New Zealand Wellington. The scope encompasses all welding activities required for Phase 3 of the Harbourview commercial development, including but not limited to structural steel frame assembly, stainless steel handrail fabrication, and repair welding on existing infrastructure.

The Welder assigned to this project holds a valid NZQA Level 5 Welding qualification (SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW processes) and is registered with the New Zealand Welding Council. All work will be performed in strict compliance with AS/NZS 1554.1:2021 (Welding of Steel Structures) and the New Zealand Building Code (MCMC 2004, as amended). The Welder will operate in accordance with all Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 requirements applicable to the New Zealand Wellington metropolitan construction zone.

Terms and Conditions

This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. After the expiry date, pricing may be subject to revision based on material cost fluctuations in the New Zealand Wellington market.
Payment terms: 50% deposit upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate, with the remaining 50% payable within fourteen (14) days of project completion and final sign-off by the client's project manager.
All Welder personnel shall carry valid New Zealand working visas or residency permits and shall comply with all local employment and safety regulations in the Wellington Region.
The Welder shall provide a full warranty of twelve (12) months on all structural welds, covering defects in workmanship and materials, in accordance with AS/NZS 1554.1:2021.
Any variation to the scope of work must be agreed in writing prior to commencement. Additional hours or materials will be billed at the rates specified in this Quotation Estimate.
Wellington Precision Welding Ltd. maintains full public liability insurance ($20,000,000) and workers' compensation coverage as required under New Zealand law.
This Quotation Estimate does not include costs for structural engineering design, crane hire, or scaffolding. These items must be procured separately by the client.
All work will be conducted in accordance with the Wellington City Council building consent conditions and any applicable resource consent requirements for the Petone site.

Note: This Quotation Estimate assumes standard working hours of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break. Overtime or weekend work in New Zealand Wellington will be charged at 1.5× the standard Welder hourly rate. Adverse weather conditions (wind speeds exceeding 40 km/h, heavy rain, or lightning) may result in temporary suspension of outdoor welding operations, and affected days will be rescheduled at no additional cost to the client.

Acceptance and Authorisation

By signing below, the client acknowledges and accepts this Quotation Estimate for Welder services in New Zealand Wellington on the terms and conditions set out herein. This document constitutes a binding agreement upon countersignature by both parties.
