Paramedics form the backbone of these services by providing immediate care at the scene and ensuring timely transport to hospitals. This thesis examines how paramedics in Bangalore can be better integrated into the healthcare ecosystem to improve survival rates and patient outcomes.

In cities like Bangalore, where traffic congestion is a major barrier to emergency response times, paramedics must act swiftly and independently. Their responsibilities include assessing patients, administering life-saving interventions (e.g., CPR, oxygen therapy), and coordinating with hospital staff. However, in India, paramedics often operate with limited resources compared to their counterparts in developed nations like the United States or Europe.

The Indian Paramedic system is still evolving.
