Carol, Norman, and Opal Rose at 5 weeks, Coeur D' Alene, ID, ca 1972. Emily, Prudence and my daughter, was born at Norman and Carol's house in Milwaukee, Oregon.
After the two couples separated, Carol and I kept in touch. I want to say Opal Rose was at the Country Fair at least once, but due to congenitally bad ankles, it was a poor fit for her. There's a lot of walking on dirt paths at the Fair. I'm not sure if Carol ever went.
It seems to me now that Carol tried, imo unsuccessfully, to meld some kind of christian thing with a basically hedonistic hippy lifestyle, and even though I was an atheist and didn't hide it, I was hardly about to argue that stuff with a hot and beautiful woman. :)
