This is a photo which was taken more than 50 years ago in Tokyo(Nihonbashi).In front of my father's fruit shop I was on my grandmothers lap on a festival day.
My grandmother's father was a Samurai who served for the Tokugawa Bakufu(the government in those days).
After the Tokugawa Bakufu collapsed her father began the business to sell the noodles and failed.
Since then she never ate the noodles.
My father was adopted as a baby.On rainy days she always used a Japanese traditional umbrella made from papers and wood. Her pillow was box-like because she wanted to keep her knotted hairstyle(Japanese traditional hairstyle).
