Quote from Hans Reichenbach. He died April 9, 1953 (aged 61) about 5 months before Physicist and Artist Scott Matheson Hitchcock was born. An interesting coincidence! His posthumous book The Direction of Time. University of California Press. Dover 1971. ISBN 0-486-40926-0 was a significant starting point for Scott's research into cosmology and the nature of time. Specifically the last paragraphs of his book indicated that he almost figured out near the end of his life that time is created by information generated by change in physical systems. So close ! I am glad that I was able to complete his mission! For more on Hans and his Causal Theory of Time see: Hans and Time
