The extension basically measures the Google Core Web Vitals.
It will highlight the Cumulative Layout Shifts in the page and as well as the Largest Content in the page, which helps the developers to understand the HTML elements that contribute to the scores.
More over in the developer console, it also log the HTML elements that made a layout shift.
This will make the developers easily identify the HTML elements to fix.
