POLISH CASE IS DELAYED
Consul to Obtain Proof of His Authorization
Mr. Justice Fabre Surveyer in Practice court yesterday accorded a delay of two months to Dr. Tadeusz Brzezinski, consul for Poland in Montreal, to obtain documentary proof to show that he was authorized to appear in court to defend an action taken by Casimir Dessaulles, K.C. of Montreal against the Polish Republic for $9,956 which he claims is due him for professional services rendered on behalf of the Polish Consulate here.
The Polish consul contended that Poland as a sovereign state could not be sued in the courts of Quebec.
