Her father's cousin Vaclav Benes (Vojta Benes son) awarded grant at McGill around the same time Zbigniew Brzezinski got his grant to study at McGill

Article leaves out that in March of 1948 The San Francisco Examiner reported that her father, Bohus Benes who was serving Communist Czechoslovakia as Czech Consul General in San Francisco at the time, demanded that American Czechs retracts words critical of Communists and the Communist coup. He praised Soviets and criticized Western Democracies. Also, in March 1948 the Oakland Tribune reported that Bohus Benes stated that the Benes Regime's complicity with the Communist Coup was an "act of heroism"

In 1943 Bohus Benes was sued for libel in London and lost. He was ensured diplomatic immunity when his uncle appointed him Consul General of Czechoslovakia in San Francisco and he and his family traveled from England to the United States in 1939 on diplomatic passports with their furniture onboard the SS Hillary. (In 2020, his granddaughter, MSNBC propagandist Mika Brzezinski, lied to the American people in an interview when she emotionally claims her mother "escaped Hitler" and arrived in the United States "with nothing")
