1985 A-10 USAF Captain James Gregory Watson, Patrick FL this is the plane my older brother flew during his career in the military. He left for the Air Force Academy the summer he graduated from Edgewater High School. I suppose I was 16, so 1966 probable. I didn't see him at all for the next four or more years. While he was at the Academy I'd hear tall tales about rabbit's eyes and survival skills in the Rockies. Unfortunately I wasn't able to travel with my family to Colorado the year he graduated from the Academy. Next time we visited was when he was stationed in South Carolina, I think, and he would fly down to Patrick AFB and then fly Avon Park Bombing Range in Ocala National Forest. We went to dinner at a fancy restaurant in Cocoa Beach and to the Officer's Club on the beach at Patrick AFB. I don't forget what he told me about Desert Storm, and Greg doesn't talk a lot, he said, "there was sand in everything!"Free picture 1985 A-10 USAF Captain J.
