Part of a compressed version of the original data source that the JPG file was carved from was stored at "Volume in drive D is My Passport \\ Volume Serial Number is FE5F-25CA" > "D:\\wdc_wd5000avvs-63zwb0_skip8000000_count500000_bs512"These files were stored in a flash drive (probably "Volume Serial Number is 98A5-A98B") NOT running a liveboot of Lubuntu at
* "/media/lubuntu/DE98A5D298A5A98B/_sdb2-0.extracted/9B000" - created with the help of a flash drive running a liveboot of Lubuntu, possibly extracted from file "/home/lubuntu/Downloads/sdb2"
* "/media/lubuntu/DE98A5D298A5A98B/_sdb2-0.extracted/f9B000.jpg" loading="lazy" - also created w/the help of said flash drive running Lubuntu, derived from file "9B000"
These binary files were later moved to "Volume in drive G is My Passport \\ Volume Serial Number is 1093-F3E8" >
* "G:\\1\\2001 [...]\\_sdb2-0.extracted\\f9B000.jpg" loading="lazy" - JPG image, URI: file:///G:/1/2001[...]/_sdb2-0.extracted/f9B000.jpg
* "G:\\1\\2001[...]\\wdc_wd5000avvs-63zwb0_skip8000000_count500000_bs512"
This if from an XFS partition of a 500 GB internal HDD which was probably in a DirecTV HR22 Receiver. I think this is from "/dev/sdb2". The original binwalk-extracted JPG (probably out of /dev/sdb2) may have been about 250 MB. File 9B000 was deleted, and file "f9B000.jpg" loading="lazy" (URI: file:///media/lubuntu/DE98A5D298A5A98B/_sdb2-0.extracted/f9B000.jpg) was derived from it via lximage-qt, which was probably running as root.
This reminds me of the "Gears of War" video game series. Text seen in this image file:
* "AN INCREDIBLE BATTLE IS RAGING \\ RIGHT UNDER YOUR FEET! \\\\ Metro- \\ Goldwyn- \\ Mayer \\ presents \\\\\\ Battle \\ Beneath \\ The \\ Earth \\ \u2022 Intercontinental tunnels[?] that imprison \\ the earth in a giant web of terror. \\ \u2022 Laser beams that dig through \\ miles of stone in minutes \\ \u2022 A barbaric barbaric general who turns his \\ mad dreams of world conquest \\ into a nightmare reality! \\\\ [...] \\ [...] \\ [...] \\ KERWIN MATHEWS\u2022VIVIANE VENTURA \\ [...] \\ ROBERT AYRES[?]\u2022PETER ARNE&bull[...] \\ LZ[?] HARGREAYES[?]\u2022MONTGOMERY TULLY\u2022CHARLES VETTER[?] \\ [...] \\ CHARLES REYNOLDS [...] in[?] TECHNICOLOR [...]"
** Note: "Battle \\ Beneath \\ The \\ Earth" is in small caps, so I could have alternatively written "BATTLE \\ BENEATH \\ THE \\ EARTH".
