One of the pen and ink drawings by the child, Charles Hartley Coover, aka F M Coover, at his age of between 12 and 16 years. Remington, Indiana born artist, Charles signed his pen and ink drawing and water colors as F M Coover. He studied at Northern Illinois University. Charles has tuberculosis at a young age. He eventually married, moved to El Paso, TX and worked for the newspaper for many years. He and his wife had 10 children. Coover died in 1935 near El Paso, TX. No drawings by F M Coover drawn after 1904 have yet been discovered.
