This is one of the banner displays that the Portuguese Canadian History Project (PCHP) \u2013 Gilberto Fernandes, Susana Miranda, Anna St. Onge, Raphael Costa, Emanuel da Silva \u2013 created for an exhibition commemorating the 60th anniversary of Portuguese mass migration to Canada, which was celebrated in 2013. The exhibition was commissioned by the Consulate-General of Portugal in Toronto and funded by the Direcção-Geral dos Assuntos Consulares e Comunidades Portuguesas of the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Camões Institute. This exhibition was first on display at Toronto's City Hall's Rotunda between May 13 and 19 as part of the Scotiabank Contact Photography Festival. After that, it became a travelling exhibition, which was shown at the Consulate-General of Portugal in Toronto (2013), Dundas West Street Festival (2013-2016), Toronto Catholic High School Archbishop Romero (2013), Azorean House of Ontario (2013), Lillian H. Smith branch of the Toronto Public Library (2014), York University's Scott Library (2014), University of Toronto's Victoria College (2014), and the Museum Strathroy-Caradoc (2015). In 2015, the exhibition was donated to the Gallery of the Portuguese Pioneers (GPP) where some of its elements have since been on display.
