We used to have such a top notch universe. Now, all the other universes are laughing at us. Any time this third universe environment of ours starts getting me down, I turn on Star Trek. I go straight to the segments where Spock is lecturing on the intricacies of logic. Argumentum ad Baculum, Affirmation of the Disjunct, Argumentum ad Hominem, Non Sequitur, and all the rest; I'm like Spock, I'll run with Argumentum ad Absurdum any day of the week. Take those dysfunctional arguments to their foregone conclusions, such that we can figure out where we really stand. What better option is there?Donald Trump, see above, is going to be our President for a long time. It shouldn't take much longer to get used to that. Personally, I've had it up to here with all of this whining about Trump's nonpayment of taxes. Pay attention, plain and simple. He lost nine hundred million in '95 by bankrupting his casinos. That meant he didn't have to pay taxes for the next eighteen years. Everyone agrees that's what happened. Currently, down at IRS Audit Headquarters, the supervisor is saying to the programmer, "There goes another eighteen years he ain't got to pay. Check it off, write it down. Less work for us."
Why is that?
See, what happened, The Donald has lost eight hundred million dollars already this year just by being a rhymes with maypole. His brand is his primary piece of property. He trashed his brand and Forbes Magazine had to go ahead and slash eight hundred extra large off of his net worth. He's well ahead of the pace he set when he lost the nine hundred million and so he won't be paying taxes until 2034 at the soonest, so don't bring the subject up again until then.
What I was leading up to, though, is the efficacy of owning a rhyming dictionary. You want to politely describe this or that crazy leader, you say, "rhymes with." You get out your rhyming dictionary, all of a sudden you've got forty words to choose from and they all rhyme with the same thing.
Picture a crazy leader who lives, oh, say, somewhere close to South Korea. Dennis Rodman is trying to settle the guy down. Nobody believes he really wants to hand it all over to the apes. He's just being a rhymes with what? See how this works? Nothing to it.
In closing, run some searches on the search terms listed above, and learn some of the ins and outs of Fair Usage Law. For example, the copyrighted image needs to go through a process that's transformative. That means there's a transformation taking place. Your chimp in the photo is transformed from a 1950's chimp into a chimp of the distant future. Meanwhile, today's election is tomorrow's election. It's not a carrot, it's a banana on a stick. Intricacies like that make it all legal.
And, remember, there's always the outside chance that parody and argumentum ad absurdum will be the little bit extra it takes to save us from the Bananaland which, see above, isn't really such a bad place at all.
