"At the end of 2015 I was settling down into a month-long residence period at Dimension Plus Studio, sleeping in the basement of their workspace/studio lab. This was a gifted experience thanks to several friends, including my host & creative director of studio, \u8521\u5b8f\u8ce2 (Escher Tsai); and an opportuntity to first collaborate wi Agnieszka Pokrywka, my colleague in Pixelache Helsinki's Ferment Lab processes, who at the time was ending her residence at Treasure Hill Artist Village. I also learned about the city and Taiwan via my stomach, and my material or urban curiosities.

This was, in reflection, an important research period that has informed many materialist (food, digital maker & craft) insights and communication experiments I have done & documented since, especially in case of #kitchenlab. I also made many lovely Taiwanese or Taipei-based friends. A written testimony on gift-economy was imagined, and is currently pioneered with these selected images. One day, the story in words will emerge."
