"A Hole In The Ground"

by: Wes Robert Ward

There was a hole in the ground and he could not understand, it was kind of circular round and it was on dirt grass land.

Although it was in Owen Barfield's backyard, he still found it quite odd that such a hole could develop, but as he bit his bottom lip he decided to investigate, yet he wanted to debate if it was safe to do so and he thought, should I look or should I go?

And so Owen went to the hole because it was just a hole and nothing but a hole. Such reasonable explanations, you know, 'It must belong to a gopher, rabbit, or mole', thought Owen who left his open can of ravioli to see what was this holy-moly of a roly-poly.

Ever so carefully Owen leaned in and saw a deep darkness in a soundless maw. He got down on his hands and knees and tried to see what was within, when a voice echoed from the deep dark dank deep.

"Curiosity for those that peep within the deep dark dank deep of a Demon's sleepless keep, reap no uncheap rewards to heap, and are nothing more than headless sheep."

And Owen got his head bit off. Sadly as his dead body spasmed with his last blood spraying neck cough, the Demon of this unholy... ate his open can of ravioli.

The End. \ud83c\udf5d
