This compilation of Basic Residential Design Guidelines have assisted my early attempts to provide Design Solutions in my lecturing for the University of the West Indies, Interior Design and Decoration Classes for over 18 years. They have been reinforced by later learning from field work during my 46 years research in the Housing and Settlement Development Sector. This new composite learning will eventually form my contribution to the Development of Architecture, as a Specialist in that Sector. Ideas from Evaluating Floor Plans, Living Rooms, Dining Rooms, Service Areas, Entry Areas, Sleeping Areas and Patios are highlighted.
