"Blood & Donuts"

It was one of those cold blooded nights in December up in Bangor, Maine. The type of cold blooded night when nothing was good about it. So cold it was that you felt like your blood was frozen.

That's what Deputy Fred Johnson felt like as he sat at a dining table in a Dunkin Donuts establishment drinking a hot cup of coffee and having a couple of glazed donuts with his partner Deputy Howard Barnes, who had felt like a raspberry jelly donut.

Well, that was like an hour ago when everything was peaceful like with no problems such as blood spray on donuts, among decapitated body parts or guts mingled here and there with donuts all over the place in pools of blood.

What happened an hour ago was pretty much what was written in Fred's police report and it wasn't a pretty picture.

Apparently a horde of Cannibals attacked Dunkin Donuts on buy one get one free night and all the fat people had to show up at 10 o'clock at night for last call.

About 40 fat people and over 60 Cannibals, and two Police Officers with enough ammo to fight a legion of the Undead, but this was a Cannibal problem, not an Undead problem.

Fred was sitting at the dining table where he sat a while ago with his partner Howard and he was crying in his bloody hands. It had been the worst experience in his long career as a police officer.

His Captain, one Captain Walter Clegg sat across from him and said, "Geeze Fred, what happened here? We've counted up to a hundred dead here, inside and outside."

Fred cried as he held up a bloody donut, "Me and Howard just wanted a couple of donuts and some hot coffee when these Cannibals came out of nowhere and started attacking people, killing these fat people left and right, and then eating their dying bloody decapitated bodies in front of us."

"Oh God no," Captain Clegg said with his hands clasped together.

Fred said still upset like crazy, "Me and Howard had no choice, but to unload everything we had into those blood thirsty meat-eating inhuman bastards. Blood was spraying all over the place. All over the donuts, sprinkles everywhere in blood. A glaze of blood here, a glaze of blood there."

"Go on," Captain Clegg replied, be stilled by Fred's story of carnage and mayhem.

Fred pointed over to the corner, "Look at Howard over there with his guts spilled out on the floor. Fought till the end, but slipped on his raspberry donut and they were on him in minutes."

"What did you do?" Captain Clegg said with horror in his voice.

Fred spat, "I killed every one of those Cannibals with my glock pistol until it was empty and smoking. Every single one of them. The last one bit my left ear off, but I tore out his throat until he was dead and I was covered in his hot steaming blood."

"Dear God, the humanity of it all," Captain Clegg cried out as he raised his hands as if crying to heaven.

Just then someone snapped some fingers in front of Fred's face and he had come back into reality away from a simple day dream.

Howard laughed as he finished his raspberry donut, "Hey Fred, snap out of it. You looked like you were somewhere else for awhile. Be careful or you'll get a nosebleed and get blood on your donut."
