Flickr/DeviantArt/Instagram description: The one thing I regret most in life is missing out on opportunities.
I have a bad habit of preferring to stay at home and only doing familiar things rather than going out and exploring new avenues of growth in life. I was never much of a social person as a child, much less an adventurer.
Even now, when deciding to go out, my brain has to ask twenty questions about everything. Some of those questions are legitimate, like finding the best way to get to my location, or making sure I have my phone and wallet. Sometimes the questions are just annoying. I spend far too much energy deciding whether or not to go out. I debate too much with myself over trivial things. And in doing so, I've often let opportunities slip straight through my fingers.
At the start of 2020, I told myself that I would change that and seize on opportunities to explore, be vulnerable, and take risks. I am still working on that, slowly but surely. With every opportunity that I grab, I remind myself of what I would have missed out on if I had just stayed at home.
