Download or edit the free picture Free Plant Photos ORIGINALS for GIMP online editor. It is an image that is valid for other graphic or photo editors in OffiDocs such as Inkscape online and OpenOffice Draw online or LibreOffice online by OffiDocs.
* Photos are from Britain and Turkey (in Britain particularly Edinburgh, Cumbria and Essex, in Turkey Antalya and Konya provinces).
* This is the counterpart of archive.org/details/free-plant-photos : whereas that gives selected reduced photos, this gives high-quality originals. At the moment they are being put up in bulk so they are available as quickly as possible (do check back for more!), but I aim to work through them and carefully remove lower quality photos from among them.
* The aim is that this should provide lots of freely usable photos for any purpose, you don't need to ask permission to use them, and you don't have to give any credit for them if that's a distraction for your production (of course it's certainly good practice to include author,

Files are stored as zipped jpgs : the zip file is named by the latin binomial (or
more than one) with hyphens for spaces - bear in mind latin names change
so look under a number of appropriate synonyms. The browser Find
feature will help, easiest using one of the two name parts. Where the
latin is ambiguous (as sometimes is the case), the authority name is
appended. Inside will be subfolders (of the form Ins###) and an _info.txt providing useful details such as location. The files themselves are named by the date/time they were taken. E\u0131ther download the entire zip or use 'view contents' to selectively get certain pictures.

* Thumbnail zips will be there (TODO!) to help with previewing; they will end with the word THUMBS and are much smaller files, so you can download those and see quickly what is in the larger file.
