Scrapbook/photo album created by the San Jose Exchange Club to document their Fourth Annual Toys for Joy drive in partnership with the San Jose Fire Department and Police Department. There is a history of the event on page 2:
"The Toys for Joy, originated four years ago, and sponsored every year by the San Jose Exchange Club with the help of the San Jose Fire Dept. and Police Dept., has fast become a very special and substantial part of San Jose community life.
The high interest of all public spirited people is shown in the enthusiastic cooperation which is extended to make this yearly project a huge success.
The drive has a two-way effect, in that children who always have had a real Christmas are becoming very conscious of the joy of sharing their toys, old and new, with those who are less fortunate. New toys were gladly brought to the Theater Party and Doll House by the youngsters themselves. Thus, the great American spirit of love for our fellow man is given a practical and early opportunity to grow and develop in these willing youngsters. The benefit is two-fold.."
