This is a typical woods scene in the area. Most of the trees you see are red alder, the predominant local hardwood. In the upper left center you can see a bit of typical gray and white red alder bark. This was probably taken in the fall since the leaves on at least some of the alder trees in the background are turning. I think the tree on the right in the foreground is a big leaf maple, another local hardwood, but not nearly as common as red alder. This view is facing south.
