These high resolution images are scans taken from original aerial photos. The photos were meant to be viewed in pairs with a stereoscope. For the convenience of modern users of desktop mapping programs, they have been orientated to magnetic north.
Two MapInfo .TAB files are included, they were created by rectifying the 1954 images against modern satellite imagery of Bagan. If a user wants to open the remainder of the photos in a desktop mapper, the images will need to be registered against known data points. The file names are the same as the identifying aerial photo names.
