WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:
- PreJava will work without extraction, but it will only feature the first textures of each block and item that were introduced. meaning Cave Game Grass and Cobble, mixed with the blocky version of the Campfire.
It is recommended you extract the texture pack into the ".minecraft/resourcepack" folder for the best experience. (As in a PreJava folder in the resourcepacks folder, not the assets, pack.png, etc.)
- PreJava includes
"Addons" inside its zip file, which provides many ways to customize
your classic experience. Addons are what I call "mini texture packs".
For example, for the players who joined during the Beta months, an addon
replicating Beta 1.5 has been included. They arnt all based on
versions, as some smaller addons like "Indev Sky" and "Classic Grass"
are included. To use an addon, put one of your choice into the resource
packs folder. In-game, select it as a resource pack and make sure the
base PreJava version is still below it.
