This is a photograph of a facsimile copy of the Book of Kells on display in the Long Room of the Trinity College Library. The left page depicts the Virgin Mary holding an infant Jesus Christ. The original Book of Kells was written in 800 AD in Kells, County Meath, Ireland, and is a Latin Gospel of Matthew.
