This document is a record of meeting minutes from the S.C. Advocates for Women on Boards and Commissions meeting with seven women legislators, identified as the following: Molly Spearman, Rita Allison, Edie Rodgers, Vita Miller, Becky Meacham, Denny Neilson, and Annette Young-Brickell. The board members and women legislators discuss various strategies to faciliate the implementation of bill S.284, including: letters-to-the editor to increase awareness about the issue, getting women involved in boards and commissions at the local level, recruiting candidates, cold-calling, and publicizing photographs of board members to reveal the shortage or absence entirely of women representatives.

The introduction of new board member Marian Crum-Mack (SC Network for Women Adminstrators in Education) and the attendance of three visitors, Jo Conner (President of the LWV of Columbia), Doris Platt (President of the SC AARP), and Mary Cook (President of the Lexington Co. Education Association) are noted.

The Treasurer's Report, prepared by Nancy Boozer, is listed on page four. Here, the organization's annual income, expenses, and account balance are tallied.

The item is composed of four pieces of white paper with typed black ink.
