"Wednesday
Dear Everybody,
I'm on bunk duty in front of the cabins. We have a fire in the fireplace on the porch. It's very cozy on a cold night and keeps the mosquitos away.
This morning we had rain and this afternoon it was blazing hot so the kids were in a rare mood. Sometimes things run so smoothly and then again the kids seem to be so miserable. Im another week there will be a new program set up so things will be different again. Canoe trips, etc. will begin soon too. I'm hoping to go with a group to Pokagon (Indiana) State Park for 3 or 4 days.
Tonight I stopped to look around for the first time and realized how beautiful this place is. There are acres of woods in back. I love it here and I'm never tired.
I got a letter from Chips at G.S. camp and"

she says it's really miserable so I'm glad I didn't go back. Sandy doesn't seem to be real happy with her job.
Jon called last night just to talk. He's anxious for school to end... and of course he misses me terribly.
My unit supervisor told me tonight 'that I certainly had a way with children' so my employers are happy with me.
Well I have to start filling out that stuff for school- I have so much free time! Ha!
